Music Midtown 2019

Dancing, overpriced food and outfits from Urban Outfitters sum up this year’s Music Midtown festival pretty well. Piedmont Park was packed with music fans of all genres this past weekend for Music Midtown 2019. The annual festival brought over 50,000 attendees each day dressed in their best festival wear. From belly dancing skirts, to mesh shirts, bikinis and walking around shirtless, fans tried to find the perfect balance of being fashionable and beating the Georgia heat.

This year’s festival was filled with talented artists, and sets overlapped between the four stages.

Travis Scott, Cardi B and Billie Eilish were among headliners that supporters waited hours for while standing shoulder-to-shoulder to get the best spots. Performers didn’t disappoint, delivering their fans high-energy concerts.

Jaden Smith’s performance was filled with stamina that kept attendees engaged. He threw water and even shaved his own head on stage. Atlanta native 6lack started off his set with some chart-topping songs played by DJ Booth, such as “Mo Bamba,” to get the crowd excited.

Large crowds formed for Lil Yachty, Cardi B, Lizzo and Billie Eilish filled with raving, twerking and jumping up and down respectively. Panic! at the Disco came with fireworks and energy that matched that of the crowd.

Day two came to an end with Travis Scott’s infamous mosh pits, the perfect ending to this year’s Music Midtown. It was surely a weekend to remember.
