AFROPUNK Atlanta 2021 took place in the Pinnacle Lot at Atlantic Station this past weekend. There were two stages for performers at the two-day long festival. Attendees found entertainment in the live music and performances, vendors and food trucks.
Those who came to the festival came in their best outfits. There were several flower adorned afros, angel wings, and traditional tribal prints.
Nigerian singer Tems was the act before Smino, the headliner for the first night. Artists who also made an appearance on day one of AFROPUNK include T.I., J.I.D. and David Banner.
Rapper Rico Nasty raged with the crowd and created a mosh pit experience before Wale closed out the second and final night. Wale brought out Rick Ross as a guest during his performance.
For those who were unable to attend the event in-person, the festival was also live-streamed on Twitch. Details about next year’s festival will be posted on their Instagram.
